Son Tra Linh Ung Pagoda leaning against the top of Son Tra peninsula is considered the largest pagoda in Danang city in both scale and architectural art. The main Shrine has the large capacity where is the most dignified and tranquil place.
There is the Shakyamuni statue in the center, the Guan Yin on the right, and the Tripiṭaka on the left, 4 guarding statues with 18 Arhats arranged by a rule to protect the main Shrine.
In particular, at Bai But Linh Ung Pagoda the Guan Yin statue is considered to be the highest one in Vietnam (67 meters high, 35 meters in lotus’s diameter). The statue leans against the mountain, overlooks the sea with gentle eyes looking down, one hand set in mudra gesture and the other hand holding the water jar to sprinkle the peace to the fisherman. A 2 meters high Gautama Buddha is on the crown of Guan Yin statue. There are 17 floors inside the statue, each floor has the altar of 21 Buddha statues with different figure, face and postures.
