Located right in the center of Da Nang city. Museum of Cham Sculpture, is considered the only museum in Southeast Asia that preserves ancient Cham sculpture artifacts.

Visit the Champa museum in Da Nang. Whether in the middle of a rainy day or a sunny day, morning or afternoon, visitors still realize a very unique atmosphere of this place. This place still retains the serenity of its nostalgia.

Officially built in July 1915 by the Institute of the Far East of Uncle Co in Hanoi. Currently, Champa Museum has about 2000 large and small artifacts. In which, there are 288 objects on display inside the museum, 187 objects on display outside the garden, and more than 1200 objects in storage.

Art in the Past

For the most part, the existing sculptures at the museum are original works. On the three main materials are sandstone, terracotta and fired copper. Most of it is sandstone dating from the 12th to the 15th century, belonging to many different art styles.

Good tip: Groups of more than 5 people can ask the tour guide at the ticket counter to explain. Voice overs can be requested to better understand the museum.
